Dumbo remake movie review
Rated: PG
Year of Release: 2019
Director: Tim Burton
Summary: A young elephant, whose oversized ears enable him to fly, helps save a struggling circus, but when the circus plans a new venture, Dumbo and his friends discover dark secrets beneath its shiny veneer.
Review: When this movie came out, no one was talking about it. Weather it was great or not. I'll be the one to said this is a great movie. The Dumbo remake is not the exact same story. The talking animals are replacing with two kids. The moment where Dumbo is separated from his mom is still heart breaking.
The main story is more on Dumbo is being reunited with his mom then saving the circus with his flying act. There more build up to where Dumbo realize he doesn't need a feather to make him fly.
The ending is different. The elephants are let free in to the wild. Staying parallel with the fact that no elephants in the circus anymore. *cough* thank a lot *cough* PETA *cough*. Never mind the fact that the Romans made elephants write in Latin.
The Jungle Book and Dumbo are the best remakes so far. The original Dumbo will be the best one while the remake takes the familiar story and reshape it into some magic on its own.

The Wonders of Museums
Note: This is an essay I wrote for a writing class and thought to share it on my blog. The essay is about my trips to museum from all across the US and why these are the type of places I like visited.
Museum Tour
Museum Tour
People often overlook the
value of libraries and museums. Museums are
fun to walk around, seeing different exhibits with fascinating artifacts. These
places are filled with mystery and ancient knowledge. Both have stories to tell
us. Libraries can take us on fantastic journeys through imagination. While museums
connect us with stories about culture and history.

Vertigo movie review

Review: Base of the novel Sueurs froides d'entre les morts (The Living and the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac. One of Hitchcock's well know films. I thought this film will have action, turns out to be a mellow drama. Focusing more on the suspense. Then again Hitchcock is the master of suspense no need to complain.
There is beautiful cinematography and a twist. There some use of the notorious Hitchcock zoom shot. The best way I can describe it is the background is stretch. Some other films that use it are Jaws and Murder Mystery.
The ending was predicable for me. I study Hitchcock's film in film class witch made it easier for me to guess the ending. Can see why I got to watch Strangers on a Train. There a lot more going on in that movie then Vertigo.
Don't go into Vertigo expecting there to be action pack. Go in to be invested in the characters and the nice scenery of 1960s San Francisco.

The men who stare at goats: movie review

Rated: R - languages
Director: Grant Heslov
Summary: A reporter in Iraq might just have the story of a lifetime when he meets Lyn Cassady, a guy who claims to be a former member of the U.S. Army's New Earth Army, a unit that employs paranormal powers in their missions.
Review: A dark comedy base off a true story. Throughout the film their flashback on the back story on Lyn Cassady and how the New Earth Army was founded. This movie is hilarious, better than the previous movie I watch.
At the beginning I find the story a little confusing to follow. 10 to 20 minute in the film I got what going on and enjoy it.

Bio Dome movie review
Genre: Comedy
Rated: PG-13
Year Release: 1996
Director: Jason Bloom
Summary: Bud (Pauly Shore) and Doyle (Stephen Baldwin) are two losers who are doing nothing with their lives. Both of their girlfriends are actively involved in saving the environment, but the two friends couldn't care less about saving the Earth. One day, when a group of scientists begin a mission to live inside a "Bio-Dome" for a year without outside contact, Bud and Doyle mistakenly become part of the project themselves.
Review: I have enjoyed the movie I watch so far. I have been too
hush and I do try to pick out the bad. To describe Bio-Dome in one word, it stupid.
I don't like the gross humor or people running around acting stupid. All the
characters lack depth to them. Sure, are some good humorist moments.
I was always interest in movie. Not
until now am I devolving a tastes of what I like and dislike (thank film class
for that).
Maybe this is your type of
movie, then that is find. To each their own.
