The Valley of Horses: Earth Children book two

The Valley of Horses The Valley of Horses by Jean M. Auel

  Series: Earth Children book 2

Genre: Pre-historic, Romance, erotic

Age*: Upper YA, Adult

POV: 3rd person -  alternating between Ayla and Jondalar.

Summary: Cast out of her clan, Ayla make her to the Valley of horses. There she much survives on her own. All alone and destine to have a companion an accident happen where Ayla saves Jondalar one of the others like herself. Jondalar give her more than companionship. New custom and a language to speck.

Content info: there are quite a few sex scenes. Leaning towards graphic descriptions.

Review: If my mom known I would end up liking animals, she would of name Ayla.
I like how Ayla figure out how to do stuff. She learns how to make fire faster, befriends a horse and later a baby cave lion.

Also like how everything is done in realist way. When Ayla is learning how to speck, she doesn’t speck fluently right away and the relationship between Jondalar and Ayla takes time to develop.
The story of Jondalar and his brother really fits in place with the development of Jondalar’s character.

I enjoy too much to find anything I dislike. I not a fan of the sex scenes but, can read quickly through them. I will say story slow down at the end a bit.

*Note on the age: The age recommendation I give is loosely. It all comes down to individual person to decide. I would has read this book when I was 14 or 15. I just didn't get in to this series until collages.
