Summary: A coming-of-middle-age comedy that chronicles the unlikely friendship between failed author Richard Dunne (Jeff Daniels) and a Long Island teen who teaches him a thing or two about growing up, all under the disapproving eye of his long-suffering wife and his imaginary Superhero friend.
Review: This movie is about loneliness and how far a person will go to fill the void. Richard Dunne is a failed writer that is child-like. He has an imaginary friend by the name of Captain Excellent (Ryan Reynolds) being the voice of  reason creates for great comic moments between the two characters. Abby is seventeen base on some tragic events in her life has made her grown up too fast. Abby and Richard come off as awkward but keeps its boundaries. It's a sweet movie that leads to an emotional ending.
